The Monteverdi Vespers and Covid-19
Following the UK Government's announcement advising the public to stay away from theatres, clubs and bars it is with great regret that the Chandos Chamber Choir have had to postpone their forthcoming concert, The Monteverdi Vespers, on 26th March at St John's Smith Square.
We are actively looking at dates with the venue, our soloists and His Majesty's Sagbutts and Cornetts to find an alternative time to perform this renaissance masterpiece. We will be sure to let you know when that is. If you have bought tickets please contact the St John's Smith Square box office and they will discuss options with you for transferring your ticket to the new date or getting a refund.
Thank you all for your support of the choir over the years and we look forward to welcoming you back to hear the choir perform again in what we hope is not in the too distant future.
Chandos Chamber Choir
Based in central London, we are an accomplished amateur choir performing a broad repertoire from early to modern music to a high standard.
Founded in 1985, the Chandos Chamber Choir is an auditioned amateur group of approximately 30 voices, rehearsing in Central London.
The choir performs about three times a year both within London and further afield.
"An exquisite programme ... delivered with delicacy and power in equal, finely balanced, measure."
